Marty Lower
We like to call Sensei Marty the energizer bunny. He just keeps going and going and going....
When Marty joined our school in 1993, he was an active, competitive runner. He also had a very physical job in the parks department of Lehigh County. After a number of years of training with us, Marty was promoted to shodan and was looking forward to continued training and teaching. He was sidelined with a series of injuries that ultimately resulted in rather serious neck surgery. A procedure that puts the average person on the sidelines. Well, Marty was down, but not out. After many months of physical therapy, Marty returned to work and to the dojo where you can still find him to this day. His movement is hampered by the affects of years of hard work, but that doesn't stop him. Marty truly demonstrates that warrior spirit and does so with a kind smile and a gentle persona that is inviting and encouraging for all those around him.
